This has touched every aspect of music making, from recording to mixing and mastering. The recording is the process when the composition is recorded onto a tape. After the composition is mixed, it is sent for mastering which is the final stage. It is the mastering which gives it the packaging that it needs. The finesse is added at the mastering stage to make the track acceptable in the commercial music industry. The music is mastered by a mastering engineer. The mastering engineer has years of experience in this field. He listens to the track with experience ears and offers a fresh perspective. This is very necessary as that deficiency in the track which has been overlooked by the recording engineer becomes clear to the mastering engineer, who then goes about rectifying them. The mastering engineer has a well organized mastering studio, which has all the equipments necessary to fine-tune the track.
